Our organization mentors and encourages girls and young women by providing them with tools and information designed to promote self-discovery and personal development. Each PŪR GEMS empowerment series emphasizes best approaches to:

  • Create New Beginnings
  • Develop  a Positive Self-image
  • Build Healthy Relationships

PŪR GEMS maximizes our community outreach services by remaining flexible and tailoring our services to meet your GEM’s unique needs. While we specialize in providing our series in a group setting, we are able to customize our offerings to provide one-to-one sessions. We also offer our three empowerment series in an “a la carte” format that allows our customers to mix and match sessions depending on the desired areas of focus. The mission of Project Unbreakable is to increase awareness of the issues surrounding sexual assault and encourage the act of healing through art. Since the project's conception in October 2011 by then nineteen year old Grace Brown, it has featured over two thousand images of sexual assault survivors holding posters with quotes from their attackers.

I believe that love is less of an emotion and more of an action because anyone can feel love for another person. However to show love requires one to go beyond their feelings and engage in action. I believe love does the following:

  • Offers patience even when it seems the person does not deserve it and keeps one’s temper at bay
  • Exhibits kindness and gentleness, especially in difficult times or periods of stress
